TRAKR LLC (“TRAKR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to responsibly handling the information collected through the TRAKR mobile application, GetTRAKR.com, and any related websites, services, features, communications, and technology collectively referred to as the “Services.”

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • What information TRAKR collects

  • How we use that information

  • When information may be disclosed

  • How we protect and retain information

  • The privacy choices and rights available to users

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information TRAKR collects depends on how you interact with the Services, the type of account you maintain, the features you use, and the permissions you provide.

A. Account and Contact Information

When you create or maintain an account, submit a tracking request, apply for a request, contact another user, or communicate with TRAKR, we may collect information such as:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Mailing address, when provided

  • Username

  • Password or other account credentials

  • Profile photograph

  • Account type

  • Communication preferences

  • Notification preferences

  • State, region, or service area

  • Information included in customer-support communications

Passwords may be stored in encrypted or hashed form rather than as readable text.

B. Tracker, Drone Operator, and Network Information

Users who offer tracking, recovery, or drone services may provide additional information, including:

  • Business or organization name

  • Profile description

  • Years of experience

  • Services offered

  • Service territory or coverage area

  • Dog names, breeds, photographs, and certifications

  • Drone information

  • Licenses, permits, certifications, or credentials

  • Network membership or affiliation

  • Verification status

  • Availability

  • Recovery history

  • Reviews and ratings

  • Social-media or website links

  • Virtual business card information

  • Other professional or service-related information

TRAKR or an affiliated tracking network may review information submitted for account classification, membership, or verification purposes. A verified badge or account designation does not constitute a guarantee of a user’s qualifications, performance, safety, legal compliance, or suitability.

C. Hunter and Tracking Request Information

When a hunter submits a request or a tracker responds to or completes a request, TRAKR may collect:

  • Approximate or precise request location

  • Nearest city and state

  • Property type

  • Date and time of the shot

  • Animal species and sex

  • Weapon and ammunition information

  • Shot distance

  • Shot placement

  • Entry and exit locations

  • Animal position and angle

  • Suspected or confirmed organs affected

  • Blood, hair, bone, or other evidence

  • Animal reaction

  • Pass-through information

  • Weather or environmental conditions

  • Tracking actions already taken

  • Distance tracked

  • Time waited before tracking

  • Grid-search information

  • Waterbody proximity

  • Property-line and permission information

  • Recovery outcome

  • Recovery distance

  • Tracking method

  • Follow-up answers

  • Tracker observations

  • Hunter and tracker communications

  • Other information submitted as part of the recovery request or follow-up process

Some tracking information may be used to produce analytics, recovery statistics, directional estimates, probability estimates, educational tools, or other informational features.

D. Location and GPS Information

TRAKR may collect approximate or precise location information when you give the Services permission to access your device’s location.

Depending on the features you use, location information may include:

  • Your current device location

  • The location of a tracking request

  • The location where a request was submitted

  • Tracker service regions

  • Distance between hunters and trackers

  • Recorded GPS paths

  • Imported GPS tracks

  • Waypoints

  • Start, pause, restart, and completion locations

  • Blood, wound-bed, recovery, vehicle, or other marked locations

  • Movement, speed, distance, and direction

  • Background location while an authorized tracking feature is active

Location information may be used to:

  • Display nearby tracking requests or trackers

  • Determine which users should receive request notifications

  • Display users or requests on a map

  • Record a tracking route

  • Create waypoints

  • Calculate distance and direction

  • Update a tracker’s service region

  • Provide safety, support, verification, analytics, and fraud-prevention functions

You may disable location permissions through your device settings. However, doing so may prevent certain TRAKR features from functioning correctly.

TRAKR does not sell precise location information and does not knowingly provide precise location information to data brokers or advertisers.

E. Photos, Videos, Audio, and Other Content

TRAKR may collect content that you upload, create, submit, or transmit through the Services, including:

  • Animal photographs

  • Blood-trail photographs

  • Trail-camera photographs

  • Recovery photographs

  • Tracker or dog photographs

  • Videos

  • Audio recordings

  • Screenshots

  • Maps

  • GPS files

  • Documents

  • Messages

  • Reviews

  • Comments

  • Profile content

  • Other user-generated content

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload or share submitted content.

F. Device, Website, and Usage Information

When you use the Services, TRAKR and its service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Internet Protocol address

  • Device type

  • Device identifiers

  • Operating system

  • Browser type

  • Application version

  • Mobile carrier

  • Language and regional settings

  • Referring website

  • Pages or screens viewed

  • Buttons or features used

  • Search activity

  • Dates and times of access

  • Session duration

  • Crash reports

  • Performance data

  • Diagnostic data

  • Notification interactions

  • Cookie identifiers

  • Log files

  • Security and fraud signals

This information helps us operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Services.

GetTRAKR.com and related online services may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to:

We may collect records of communications sent through or concerning TRAKR, including:

  • Customer-support requests

  • Hunter and tracker communications facilitated through the Services

Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages.

I. Payment and Subscription Information

If TRAKR offers paid subscriptions, analytics, upgrades, or other purchases, payments may be processed by an app store, payment processor, or another third-party provider.

TRAKR may receive limited transaction information such as:

  • Subscription status

  • Product purchased

  • Transaction identifier

  • Purchase date

  • Renewal date

  • Payment status

  • Refund status

  • Limited billing information

TRAKR does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment-card number when payments are processed by a third party.

J. Information From Third Parties

TRAKR may receive information from:

  • Other TRAKR users

  • State tracking networks

  • Network administrators

  • App stores

  • Payment processors

  • Authentication providers

  • Mapping and location providers

  • Analytics providers

  • Communications providers

  • Publicly available sources

  • Referral partners

For example, a network administrator may provide or confirm information about a tracker’s membership, experience, credentials, or account status.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

TRAKR may use collected information to:

  • Create, maintain, and secure user accounts

  • Provide the website and mobile application

  • Connect hunters with trackers or drone operators

  • Route tracking requests and notifications

  • Determine approximate proximity between users

  • Display maps, service regions, requests, profiles, and GPS tracks

  • Facilitate communication between hunters and trackers

  • Process request applications and selections

  • Record tracking and recovery outcomes

  • Provide reviews, ratings, verification, and account classifications

  • Operate subscriptions and paid features

  • Provide customer service

  • Respond to questions, complaints, and disputes

  • Prevent fraud, misuse, harassment, and unauthorized activity

  • Investigate violations of TRAKR policies

  • Protect users, TRAKR, and the public

  • Maintain system performance and security

  • Diagnose technical problems

  • Develop and test new features

  • Analyze how the Services are used

  • Produce statistical and educational information

  • Improve recovery-related analytics

  • Create estimates, probabilities, scores, maps, trends, and predictive features

  • Send operational, administrative, promotional, or informational communications

  • Enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements

  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

  • Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets

3. ANALYTICS, STATISTICS, AND PREDICTIVE FEATURES

TRAKR may analyze request information, tracking activity, GPS information, shot information, equipment information, recovery outcomes, environmental information, and other data to create:

  • Recovery statistics

  • Game Loss Reduction statistics

  • Recovery probability estimates

  • Shot-placement insights

  • Broadhead or equipment comparisons

  • Distance estimates

  • Directional or movement estimates

  • Coverage maps

  • Service-demand maps

  • Network reports

  • Field Intelligence features

  • Educational content

  • Predictive models

  • Aggregated industry insights

These features are informational estimates and may not accurately predict the outcome of a particular tracking request or recovery attempt.

Whenever reasonably practical, TRAKR may aggregate or de-identify information before using it for research, analytics, reports, marketing, educational content, or public statistics.

TRAKR may retain and use aggregated or de-identified information for any lawful purpose, provided the information is not reasonably capable of being associated with an individual.

4. HOW INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED

TRAKR does not sell personal information.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

A. Between Hunters, Trackers, and Other Users

Information may be disclosed to another TRAKR user when necessary to provide the Services or when you choose to share it.

For example:

  • Trackers may receive information about nearby tracking requests.

  • Hunters may view tracker profiles, ratings, reviews, services, and availability.

  • A selected tracker may receive the hunter’s contact information and request details.

  • Hunters may receive information about trackers who apply for a request.

  • Users may see information included in messages, reviews, profiles, applications, maps, tracking records, or request updates.

  • Contact information may become available according to TRAKR’s request and notification rules.

  • Certain request information may remain visible to users who applied for or participated in a request.

Do not submit information through TRAKR that you do not want disclosed to the users necessary to fulfill your request.

B. Public or Profile Information

Certain profile information may be visible to other users or website visitors, including:

  • Name

  • Profile photograph

  • Business name

  • Service region

  • Services offered

  • Network membership

  • Verification status

  • Experience information

  • Reviews and ratings

  • Dog or drone information

  • Recovery statistics

  • Public profile links

The exact information displayed may depend on your account type, settings, network affiliation, and the feature being used.

C. Tracking Networks and Administrators

Information may be disclosed to an affiliated tracking network or network administrator when reasonably necessary to:

  • Verify membership

  • Review an applicant

  • Manage network accounts

  • Assign account classifications

  • Confirm credentials

  • Investigate complaints

  • Maintain service coverage

  • Produce network reports

  • Enforce network or TRAKR rules

  • Support hunters and trackers

D. Service Providers

TRAKR may disclose information to vendors and contractors that process information on our behalf, including providers of:

  • Website and application hosting

  • Cloud storage

  • Databases

  • Mapping and location services

  • Analytics

  • Customer support

  • Email

  • Text messaging

  • Push notifications

  • Payment processing

  • Subscription management

  • Application distribution

  • Security

  • Fraud prevention

  • Software development

  • Error monitoring

  • Data backup

  • Legal, accounting, and professional services

These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to perform services for TRAKR or as otherwise allowed by law and contract.

E. Legal and Safety Reasons

We may preserve, access, or disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

  • Comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, warrant, or legal process

  • Respond to a lawful government request

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of TRAKR, our users, or others

  • Investigate suspected fraud, harassment, threats, or illegal activity

  • Enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements

  • Detect or prevent security incidents

  • Respond to an emergency

  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

F. Business Transactions

Information may be disclosed as part of an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, transfer of ownership, or similar business transaction.

Any successor may continue to process information in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless users are notified otherwise.

G. At Your Direction or With Your Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, request that we do so, or otherwise provide consent.

5. NO SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

TRAKR does not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration.

TRAKR does not knowingly sell precise geolocation information.

TRAKR does not knowingly sell personal information belonging to users under 18 years of age.

If TRAKR’s practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law before beginning the new practice.

6. TARGETED ADVERTISING

TRAKR may promote its own products, services, features, networks, events, or content.

TRAKR does not currently use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning a user.

If TRAKR begins processing personal information for targeted advertising or legally regulated profiling, we will provide any disclosures and choices required by applicable law.

7. DATA RETENTION

TRAKR retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • Maintain an active account

  • Provide requested Services

  • Preserve tracking and recovery records

  • Maintain analytics and historical statistics

  • Resolve disputes

  • Enforce agreements

  • Prevent fraud or abuse

  • Maintain security

  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations

  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

The retention period depends on factors such as:

  • The type and sensitivity of the information

  • The feature through which it was collected

  • Whether the account remains active

  • Whether the information is needed to provide the Services

  • Whether the information is part of a tracking, recovery, payment, safety, dispute, or verification record

  • Applicable legal requirements

  • The risk of harm from continued retention

Some information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems.

TRAKR may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely, provided it cannot reasonably be linked back to an individual.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, TRAKR may delete, anonymize, de-identify, or aggregate it.

8. DATA SECURITY

TRAKR uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include:

  • Access controls

  • Authentication measures

  • Encryption where appropriate

  • Secure hosting

  • Monitoring and logging

  • Restricted employee and contractor access

  • Data backups

  • Vendor-security requirements

  • Incident-response procedures

No website, application, communication system, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and promptly notifying TRAKR of suspected unauthorized account access.

9. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES

A. Account Information

You may review or update certain account and profile information through the Services.

B. Location Permissions

You may control location permissions through your mobile-device settings. Disabling location access may limit maps, proximity notifications, GPS tracking, waypoints, service-region updates, and other location-based features.

C. Camera, Photos, Video, Audio, and Files

You may control application access to your camera, microphone, photo library, and device files through your device settings. Disabling access may prevent you from uploading or creating certain content.

D. Notifications

You may manage push notifications through the application or device settings.

You may manage text-message or email preferences through the Services, by using an available unsubscribe method, or by contacting TRAKR.

You may still receive non-promotional messages concerning your account, tracking requests, security, transactions, legal notices, or changes to the Services.

E. Cookies

You may control cookies through your browser settings. Some website features may not function properly when cookies are disabled.

F. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion through any account-deletion feature provided in the application or by contacting TRAKR using the information in the “Contact Us” section.

Deleting an account may not immediately delete information that TRAKR must retain for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, transaction, dispute, backup, analytics, or other legitimate purposes.

Information previously disclosed to another user may remain in that user’s records.

10. U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live and whether the applicable law applies to TRAKR, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether TRAKR processes your personal information

  • Access personal information about you

  • Obtain a portable copy of certain information

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete certain information

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  • Opt out of the sale of personal information

  • Opt out of targeted advertising

  • Opt out of certain forms of profiling

  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information

  • Obtain a list of certain third parties to which information was disclosed, where required

  • Appeal a decision concerning your privacy request

  • Exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.

Because TRAKR does not sell personal information, a request to opt out of sale should confirm that no sale is occurring under our current practices.

Submitting a Privacy Request

To submit a request, contact TRAKR using the email address or request method listed in the “Contact Us” section and include:

  • Your name

  • The email address associated with your TRAKR account

  • The state in which you reside

  • The privacy right you wish to exercise

  • Sufficient information to identify your account or records

We may request additional information to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot verify the requester’s identity or when an exception applies.

Authorized Agents

Where permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and may separately verify your identity.

Appeals

If TRAKR denies your privacy request, you may appeal the decision by contacting us and using the subject line:

Your appeal should explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. TRAKR will review and respond to the appeal within the period required by applicable law.

11. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE

This section applies only to the extent California privacy law applies to TRAKR’s processing of your personal information.

During the preceding 12 months, TRAKR may have collected the categories of personal information described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Identifiers

  • Customer-record information

  • Internet and electronic-network activity

  • Commercial or subscription information

  • Precise and approximate geolocation information

  • Audio, visual, and electronic content

  • Professional or service-related information

  • User-generated content

  • Inferences drawn from tracking and recovery information

  • Sensitive personal information, including precise geolocation and account credentials

TRAKR collects and uses these categories for the business and operational purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

TRAKR may disclose these categories to service providers, other users, tracking networks, administrators, professional advisers, legal authorities, or transaction participants for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

TRAKR has not sold personal information during the preceding 12 months.

TRAKR has not knowingly sold personal information belonging to consumers under 16 years of age during the preceding 12 months.

TRAKR uses sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the Services, carry out user requests, and perform other purposes permitted by law.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and TRAKR does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A parent or legal guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to TRAKR should contact us immediately.

Users must also meet any minimum-age requirements established in the TRAKR Terms of Use or by applicable law.

13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Services may use or link to third-party websites, applications, maps, app stores, payment processors, social-media platforms, or other services.

TRAKR does not control the privacy or security practices of independent third parties. Information provided directly to those services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Users should review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing information to them.

14. INTERNATIONAL USERS

TRAKR is operated from the United States.

If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or another country where TRAKR or its service providers operate.

Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country.

15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

TRAKR may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in:

  • The Services

  • Features

  • Data practices

  • Service providers

  • Technology

  • Legal requirements

  • Business operations

When the policy is updated, TRAKR will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy.

If a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, TRAKR may provide additional notice through the website, application, email, or another appropriate method.

Continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
